How Do You Get from Toronto to Highmark Stadium for a Bills Game
The route, the drive time, the transit options and the road closures, in one place, with a source on every figure that did not come from us.
Which Highmark Stadium Is the Buffalo Bills Stadium
There are two stadiums named Highmark Stadium. The one you want is in Orchard Park, New York, home of the Buffalo Bills.
Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York is the Buffalo Bills stadium. The Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh is a different, smaller ground and is home to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. If a map or a search answer points you toward Pittsburgh or Station Square, it has the wrong stadium. The Bills play at 1 Bills Dr, Orchard Park, NY 14127, and everything on this page is about getting there from Toronto.
How Long Does the Drive from Toronto Take
Door to gate, the drive is 179 km and takes about 1 hour 57 minutes, before any time at the border.
That is our own measurement, Union Station to 1 Bills Dr, Orchard Park, NY 14127, checked against Google Maps on 2026-08-19. A third-party source gives a slightly rounder number: Driving takes about 2 hours and costs roughly $24 to $40 in fuel and tolls. The route is the QEW to the Peace Bridge, then I-190 South to NY-400 South. Neither includes the border, so on a normal Sunday budget closer to three hours door to lot. The full hour-by-hour breakdown, including 4:25 PM and Sunday night kickoffs, is on the Bills game day border timing page.
What Route Do You Actually Drive
The QEW to the Peace Bridge, then I-190 South to NY-400 South into Orchard Park.
That runs the QEW out of Toronto to the Peace Bridge at Fort Erie, across into Buffalo on I-190 South, then NY-400 South for the last stretch. Queenston-Lewiston is the other realistic crossing and is often faster when the Fort Erie queue backs up, at the cost of a slightly longer run on the American side. A chauffeur who runs this corridor every Sunday picks between the two from the live wait times rather than a fixed rule.
Is There a Bus or Train from Toronto to Highmark Stadium
No direct rail and no scheduled bus. Your options are driving, a crowdfunded fan shuttle, or a private charter.
There is no direct rail service to the stadium. At the stadium, the NFTA runs a local shuttle for people already in the Buffalo area, not a way to get there: The NFTA Game Day Express runs from seven pickup points including downtown Buffalo, Niagara Falls and suburban park-and-ride lots. It is $5 one way and starts two to three hours before kickoff.
Built for Toronto departures instead is Rally. Rally runs crowdfunded round-trip fan shuttles with a Toronto departure point near the Fairmont Royal York, typically $25 to $35 a seat, taking four to five hours each way. A packaged alternative also exists: Elite Sports Tours sells a Buffalo Bills bus tour package from Toronto that bundles the coach, the game ticket and a tailgate. A private charter is the fourth option: your own pickup time, and a chauffeur handling the bridge and the pass.
Where Do Buses and Limos Park at Highmark Stadium
The camper, bus, RV and limo lot sits north of the stadium on the east side of Abbott Road, toward Southwestern Boulevard. It is a separate, higher-priced category and needs its own pass bought in advance.
That lot is a separate, higher category from ordinary car parking, and it is the only place a Sprinter, mini bus or coach is sent. A pass has to be bought ahead of the game, same as any other stadium lot. Official 2026 stadium parking prices have not been finalised by the team, so any figure you see quoted now is a third-party listing rather than the stadium’s own rate. Do not treat a figure quoted online as the team’s own rate. Book a charter with us and we source the pass instead. Tailgate rules and exactly where your vehicle waits are on the Highmark Stadium parking and tailgate page.
What Time Do the Roads Close on Game Day
Abbott Road in front of the stadium closes about six hours before kickoff and stays closed until after the game.
Abbott Road in front of the stadium closes to north and south traffic about six hours before kickoff, between Bills Drive and the NFTA Transportation Hub, and stays closed until after the game. Major delays are expected around the stadium on Abbott Road, Route 20A which is Big Tree Road, Route 90 and Route 219 during the peak window either side of the game. A private charter builds the closure into the pickup time rather than reacting to it. The full clock for a specific kickoff, including Thursday and Monday nights, is on the game day border timing page.
How Do You Get Out After the Game
The roads around the stadium switch to one-way traffic right after the final whistle, and leaving with the crowd is the slow way to do it.
After the game Route 20A is converted to two lanes of one-way traffic, eastbound from Fieldhouse Drive to Route 219 and westbound from Abbott Road to Southwestern Boulevard. That flip is built to move a full stadium out, not one vehicle quickly, so waiting twenty minutes in the lot before joining it is usually faster. With a private charter your chauffeur is already parked in the Bus and Limo Lot when the game ends and picks that timing for you. On a self-drive trip, plan on the exit taking as long as the drive itself.
What a Private Charter Costs from Toronto
A 14-passenger Sprinter runs from approximately $2,300 return. A 27-passenger mini bus runs from approximately $2,700 return.
These cover the whole vehicle for the round trip, chauffeur waiting through the game, not a per-seat price. All figures are approximate and include the driver, fuel and insurance. HST at 13% and gratuity of 15 to 20% are added on top. A party of four to six can also book an SUV from approximately $1,500 return. A full 56-passenger coach confirmed as a fixed quote, since there is no standing vendor rate for that size.
Up to 14 passengers
Regular Sprinter
The default for a full car of fans. One pickup, one ride home, no designated driver.
Up to 27 passengers
27-Passenger Mini Bus
The best value per seat in the fleet once a group fills it, at roughly $100 a head across twenty-seven.
Up to 56 passengers
56-Passenger Coach
The largest vehicle we run to Orchard Park. Cross-border coach work is priced against a written vendor quote rather than a formula.
Up to 6 passengers
SUV
Only worth it for a party of four to six. Past six the Sprinter costs less per seat.
Your actual price moves with kickoff time, pickup point, how long the vehicle waits and how many stops you add. Full comparison against the per-seat fan buses on the cost of a bus to a Bills game page.

No. We move the group; you buy the tickets. Some per-seat packages bundle a ticket into the price, which is why those per-person numbers look the way they do.
